Ellucian Banner Database Administrator

As an Ellucian Banner Database Administrator to migrate and maintain our Banner ERP customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity security and performance of the database systems supporting our educational institution clients. This role requires a deep understanding of database administration performance tuning and troubleshooting in an Ellucian Banner environment.

What youll be doing:

• Administer maintain and support the Ellucian Banner database environment including Oracle databases.
• Implement and monitor database security measures to protect sensitive data in compliance with regulations.
• Perform database tuning optimization and performance monitoring to ensure high availability and efficiency.
• Plan and execute database backup and recovery strategies ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with IT teams to support Banner application upgrades patches and new releases.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for databaserelated issues to internal teams and external clients.
• Document database configurations changes and procedures to maintain a high level of operational excellence.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in database administration and recommend improvements to enhance system performance.

What youll need:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator with specific experience in Ellucian Banner and Oracle databases.
• Strong understanding of Oracle database structures theories principles and practices.
• Proficient in SQL PL/SQL and Oracle database management and tools.
• Experience with database security backup and recovery and performance tuning.
• Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills with proficiency in English to effectively collaborate with teams and clients across different geographies.
• Ability to work in different time zones to support global operations.

Whats nice to have:

• Certification in Oracle Database Administration or Ellucian Banner is highly desirable.
• Experience working in an offshore model is preferred.
