Overview:
The Electrical Technician plays a crucial role in our organization by ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. They are responsible for troubleshooting repairing and maintaining electrical components to minimize downtime and ensure a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect electrical systems equipment and components for signs of damage wear or malfunction
Perform regular maintenance on electrical systems and equipment including cleaning lubricating and adjusting components
Utilize blueprints wiring diagrams and manufacturers specifications to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues
Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning and safety
Install repair and maintain electrical wiring control systems and lighting fixtures
Identify and replace faulty electrical components such as relays switches and motors
Conduct circuitry analysis and implement corrective measures to optimize performance
Collaborate with colleagues to diagnose complex electrical problems and develop effective solutions
Adhere to electrical code and safety standards in all work performed
Document maintenance and repair activities including tests inspections and component replacements
Required Qualifications:
Associate degree in Electrical Technology or related field or equivalent work experience
Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics
Strong knowledge of electrical testing equipment and procedures
Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems and components
Familiarity with electrical code and safety regulations
Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and precision in all work performed
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Physical stamina and dexterity to work in various conditions and environments
Valid electrical technician certification is a plus
Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting is a plus
Experience with industrial electrical systems and equipment is a plus
Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and communication purposes
Willingness to stay updated on industry advancements and best practices
