Purpose of the Position

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our team as the Director of Community and Market Development. This is a newly created position that will play a crucial role in advancing our organizations mission by leading the development of the impact investing sector in Europe and the mobilization of capital and stakeholders for impact.

Key Responsibilities

Main objective of this position:
Lead the organizations market development activities to support and enable the growth of the investing for impact market and the mobilization of capital and stakeholders for impact in Europe

1) Market Development:
Identify untapped opportunities to mobilize more stakeholders/ more capital for impact (new markets new segments)
Support the membership development team to ensure growth engagement and satisfaction targets are delivered and the membership voice (needs insights input) is well integrated in the Organizations plans.
Build and develop market building and funding partnerships.

2) Communication and Collaboration:
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure effective alignment of objectives and priorities.

3) Positioning and Branding:
Oversee the market development and community engagement activities across segments (from foundations/ philanthropy to institutional investing).
Represent and be an ambassador of the investing for impact community visvis the impact sector Work towards positioning the organization as a top leader within the Impact Ecosystem.
Develop and implement initiatives to enhance the organizations visibility and impact in the industry.

4) Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement business strategies aligned with the organizations goals which are:
Collaborate with and advise relevant actors in Europe guiding them in investing their capital in Triple Impact Investment Projets.
Facilitate the sharing of knowledge from experts in the impact sector to strengthen our members understanding and influence.

5) Team Leadership and Development:
Lead the envisioning and execution of changes within the organization focusing on continuous improvement and innovation.
Manage a team of 46 senior level professionals working in the Community and Market Development Department.
Provide guidance mentorship and support for professional development.

6) Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
Design and oversee the implementation of streamlined workflows to achieve organizational objectives.

Requirements and competences to work with us

Studies
Master Degree in Business Administration Sustainable Development Impact Investing Public Policy or a related discipline.
Fluent English level (C1)
Additional language would be a plus.

Experience
10 years of professional experience among which several years of leadership experience preferably in a membershipbased organization impact investing or a related field.
Experience in senior leadership roles with demonstrated track record in strategic vision and operations (including P&L management)
Experience in partnership building and/ or fundraising
Ability to demonstrate a passion for accelerating impact/ positive change and ecosystem building
Used to work in a matrix environment collaborative in nature

Knowledge and Skills
A deep understanding of the Impact Ecosystem in Europe including knowledge of key players trends and challenges. Familiarity with the European financial landscape and policy environment related to sustainable development.
Strategic and consulting sales skills along with marketing (brand positioning) market development and account management.
Partnerships building and/or fundraising
Modern leadership based on trust empowerment and accountability
Agile way of working goal oriented
