Design Consultant - Structured Cabling CCTV

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design & Estimate Consultant with expertise in structured cabling project coordination budget estimating project estimation tender preparation bill of materials design team coordination IT infrastructure design electronic security systems closedcircuit television (CCTV) and AutoCAD. As a Design & Estimate Consultant you will play a critical role in designing and estimating IT infrastructure projects coordinating with various stakeholders and ensuring successful project execution.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and Estimation: Develop comprehensive designs and estimates for IT infrastructure projects including structured cabling electronic security systems CCTV and related components. Ensure adherence to industry standards codes and best practices.

2. Project Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams clients vendors and subcontractors to coordinate project activities effectively. Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and meet client requirements.

3. Budget Estimating: Prepare accurate and detailed budget estimates for IT infrastructure projects considering all necessary materials labor costs and other relevant factors. Monitor project costs and make necessary adjustments to ensure adherence to budget constraints

4. Tender Preparation: Prepare tender documents including technical specifications bill of materials and other relevant documentation. Coordinate the tender process evaluate bids and make recommendations for vendor selection.

5. Design Team Coordination: Collaborate with design teams architects engineers and other stakeholders to coordinate project requirements resolve design issues and ensure smooth project implementation.

6. IT Infrastructure Design: Develop comprehensive IT infrastructure designs including structured cabling layouts network equipment placement rack configurations cable pathways and other related elements. Ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

7. Electronic Security Systems: Design and specify electronic security systems including access control surveillance cameras intrusion detection and alarm systems. Collaborate with security consultants to ensure effective integration of these systems with IT infrastructure.

8. ClosedCircuit Television (CCTV): Design and specify CCTV systems including camera placement monitoring stations video storage and network infrastructure requirements. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry best practices.

9. AutoCAD: Utilize AutoCAD software to create and modify technical drawings including floor plans cable routing diagrams equipment layouts and other projectrelated drawings.

Requirements

Bachelor s degree in electrical engineering Computer Science or a related field.

Proven experience as a Design & Estimate Consultant preferably in IT infrastructure projects.

Strong knowledge and expertise in structured cabling project coordination budget estimating project estimation tender preparation bill of materials design team coordination IT infrastructure design electronic security systems CCTV and AutoCAD.

Indepth understanding of industry standards and best practices related to IT infrastructure design and implementation.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams clients vendors and subcontractors.

Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities to address design and estimation challenges.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver within established timelines.

Proficient in using AutoCAD software for creating and modifying technical drawings.

Knowledge of relevant software tools for estimating project management and documentation.

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering highquality work.
