Data Platform Architect

About The Department

The Development Department is comprised of approximately 30 engineers working across various teams dedicated to advancing our technological capabilities.

Role Objective

As a data platform architect you will manage maintain and make sure our database systems are secure as well as developing the systems for future use. You will work closely with the development teams when designing and building applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess the performance of our database systems.
• Performance tuning of database systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
• Manage access and permissions for users and applications.
• Review and manage database security.
• Help transition our databases to the cloud.
• Provide training and support for database use by our developers.

Your Experience

• A bachelors degree or higher in database administration or equivalent professional experience.
• Desirable: Certifications such as Microsofts Azure Database Administration Associate.
• Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with cloudbased database services.
• Highly skilled in database system tuning and optimization.
• Experience in database design
