Data Engineer - Squarera

Squarera is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate must have excellent experience in data engineering with a strong background in designing implementing and maintaining scalable data infrastructure. The Data Engineer will play a crucial role in shaping and optimizing our data architecture to support the organizations datadriven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of data engineers providing guidance on best practices coding standards and technical design.

Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment encouraging continuous learning and skill development.

Coordinate and prioritize tasks ensuring timely and successful project delivery.

Data Architecture:

Data Architecture and Design:

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand data requirements and design scalable and efficient data models.

Develop and maintain conceptual logical and physical data models to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Evaluate and implement data storage solutions and technologies.

Data Integration:

Design and implement ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes to integrate data from various sources into a centralized data warehouse.

Ensure data quality and consistency across different data sets through effective data cleansing and transformation.

Database Management:

Manage and optimize database systems to ensure high performance and availability.

Implement best practices for data security privacy and compliance.

Troubleshoot and resolve databaserelated issues in a timely manner.

Data Processing and Analysis:

Work closely with data scientists and analysts to enable efficient and accurate data processing and analysis.

Implement solutions for realtime data processing and streaming.

Performance Optimization:

Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines databases and queries.

Identify and address bottlenecks to ensure smooth data flow and processing.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with other engineering teams stakeholders and data users to understand business requirements and provide effective data solutions.

Communicate complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.

Documentation:

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data engineering processes workflows and systems.

Ensure knowledge transfer and documentation for seamless team collaboration.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in data engineering.

Proficient in SQL and experience with relational and nonrelational databases.

Strong programming skills in languages such as Python etc.

Experience with ETL tools and frameworks.

Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop Spark and Kafka.

Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.

Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
