Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in in a quantitative field such as Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, MIS or related field or equivalent work experience. Minimum 3 years of experience data analysis and database management Minimum 7+ minimum years of experience with reporting packages, databases, ETL frameworks and demonstrated aptitude with technical systems and dealing with disparate data sources Demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Office applications including Excel (including pivot tables and macros) and PowerPoint Exhibits knowledge and/or technical experience regarding data models for database design development Exhibits functional knowledge of statistical concepts (simple linear regressions, what-if scenarios, statistical inference, probability theory) Exhibits knowledge of SQL, SAS or any other database management system Proficient written and verbal communication in English

Responsibilities:

We are seeking an individual to work with a Fortune 50 Broadcast Media & Entertainment leader located in New York, New York. As the Data Analyst/Tableau Developer, you will be responsible for building the next generation of visualization solutions while working with internal stakeholders, data engineers, data analysts, product owners, and other technologists across one or more of our main subject areas. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the process of visualizing data from multiple sources.

Minimum Qualifications:

4+ years of experience in an enterprise Data and Analytics environment using SQL

4+ years of experience in a business-facing analytical role and proven track record of related success

Experience with some or all of the following: data integrations / ETL, data warehouses, data validation, data visualization, report design, SQL, advanced Excel, Python, Power BI ot Tableau, data governance and analytics concepts like relational data modeling

4+ years of experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)

Powerful Storytelling with large, complex datasets

Extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and managing Tableau driven dashboards and analytics and knowledge of Tableau architecture

Proficiency in use of query and reporting analysis tools and a solid understanding of relational databases, and normalization

2-3 years working with Power BI and related Microsoft tech stack

Media-focused - Strong working knowledge of media including broadcast TV, digital, and mobile (specific experience with TV Distribution a plus)

Responsibilities:

Developing, maintaining, and managing advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions.

Boost effectiveness of marketing spends, increase efficiency in marketing asset production and otherwise add value to Marketing & Production with data insights and tools that spotlight opportunities and inspire business improvements

Performing and documenting data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design.

Reviewing and improving existing systems and collaborating with teams to integrate new systems.

Conducting unit tests and developing database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues.

The developer will create powerful dashboards, data source, create action filters, parameters and calculations for preparing dashboards and worksheets in Tableau.

This role will also design and implement processes and standards to aid in report development and support.

Hands on with Tableau Desktop (dashboard creation, report authoring and troubleshooting, data source management)

Fine-tuned SQL Queries for maximum efficiency and performance.
