Cyber defence analyst

Position: Cyber Defense Analyst

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Monitor security events and alerts to spot potential cyber threats and security incidents.
• Perform thorough analysis of security incidents to identify their root causes and impacts.
• Develop and deploy strategies to proactively prevent detect and respond to cyber attacks and security breaches.
• Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate security risks and establish proactive defense measures.
• Conduct routine vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to uncover weaknesses in our systems and networks.
• Keep security policies procedures and protocols up to date to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on best cybersecurity practices and procedures.
• Stay abreast of the latest cyber threats attack methodologies and security technologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience as a Cyber Defense Analyst or in a similar capacity.
• Profound understanding of cybersecurity principles encompassing network security cryptography and secure coding practices.
• Handson experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Proficiency in incident response malware analysis and forensic investigations.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR HIPAA or PCI DSS.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP CISA CEH or GIAC are advantageous.
