Controls Engineer

A well-established robotics integrator and machine builder is seeking a highly motivated Controls Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be expected to perform controls engineering activities for the development of various automated equipment for our customer base.

Responsibilities:

• Review specifications, product drawings, and related documentation to determine best overall control solution to meet or exceed requirements.
  
• Controls programming of PLC s, robots, and vision inspection systems
  
• Commissioning, debug, and validation of control systems for automated equipment
  
• Controls support/training during installation of equipment at customer site
  
• Ability to travel, approximately 20% of the time
  

Requirements

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years exposure to controls systems of automated equipment
  
• 2+ years programming experience with Rockwell RSLogix5000, FactoryTalk Studio, Fanuc Robotics TP programming and Cognex Insight EasyBuilder
  
• Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics
  
• Ability to setup fieldbus network, Ethernet I/P, Profinet, etc.
  
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Siemens Step7, TIA Portal, WinCC programming experience
  
• Microsoft Visual Studio programming experience
  
• Electrical/pneumatics schematic design using AutoCAD
  
• Fanuc HandlingTool Pro (Roboguide)
  
• Servo programming experience
  
• Keyence CV or IV programming experience
