An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to be part of an international publicly listed IT company.

We are currently recruiting for a Contracts and Legal Officer who will provide high quality and effective support for the management in the preparation review coordination and finalization of a range of commercial contracts.

The candidate will also have the opportunity to work with our worldwide teams and be involved in various other business operations and activities. This will be an ideal opportunity for anybody who has contract or legal experience and at the same time has keen interest in involving in a wide spectrum of business operations and activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Contract drafting analysis and execution of various types of agreements including nondisclosure agreements software licenses purchase agreements subscription agreements consulting agreements employment agreements including review of customer proposed terms and conditions
  • Reviewing all standard and nonstandard contracts supplied provide recommendations and negotiate directly with customer and legal team to reach consensus
  • Reviewing tender terms & conditions and providing inputs to bid / proposal preparation
  • Advising stakeholders of contractual rights and obligations and provide clarification of contractual terms and conditions
  • Supporting the execution of commercial operations including the review and approval of contractual documentation
  • Researching new or developing areas of law including data protection laws and drafting relevant policies and guidelines

This position will be a challenging and varied role providing support to the management team and senior managers on a daily basis. You will need to be able to work both alone and as part of a team with the ability to meet tight timescales without compromising the standard of your work. Whilst the above will be your primary responsibilities you will also report to our Vice President and assist and support our Vice President in various business operations and activities including for example:

  • Putting together new company policies
  • Leading or planning individual activities
  • Defining and improving business processes of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level/law graduate with at least three years relevant experience.
  • Proven experience of commercial / corporate contracts review negotiation change amendment review as well as management of NDA MOU Bid tender and proposal documents
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill able to directly converse and advise on contractual issues at senior levels.
  • An ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and complete work accurately to a high standard.
  • Experience of leading commercial contracts activity in a IT or Technology field would be beneficial.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A legal executive paralegal or solicitor based qualification.
  • Previous experience of working in a firm of solicitors or inhouse in a contracts officer or contracts manager role handling a highvolume workload meeting high standards and client expectations.
