Contract Delivery Manager - Vegetation Management

We currently have opportunities for aContract Delivery Managerbased in the East Midlands supporting the National Grid contract for delivery ofGrounds Trees and Vegetation Management. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager you will ensure work is completed to the highest possible standards in terms of safety environment quality customer service and profitability.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Preparing and maintaining project records

• Preparing and maintaining schedules of activity (project plan)

• Managing the development of the project in accordance with approved plans and targets

• Developing and implementing resource plans and procurement of resources

• Applying and monitoring performance management

• Managing budgets and controlling forecast and actual costs against them

• Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client through regular meetings and written communications

• Identifying and monitoring project risks and planning and implementing risk mitigations

• Managing PMs overseeing all DE and FTs

• Ensuring high H&S standards are maintained.

• Ensuring all staff and teams compliance is above 95%

• Pricing up of works for both reaccruing activities and one off jobs

• Identifying resource gaps and bringing in new teams

Who are we looking for

Although full training will be provided for the right candidate the following would be extremely beneficial:

• Project Management experience in a similar industry

• Knowledge of delivering vegetation management work in and around water

• Excellent leadership and negotiation skills

• Persistence and determination

• Attention to detail

• Proficient and competent IT skills

• Knowledge of project management software such as Microsoft Project

• Ability to prioritise tasks

• Skills to manage costs risks and contingencies

• Knowledge of several project management methodologies

• Ability to work and make decisions under pressure
