Our startup client provides innovative solutions to help pets thrive throughout their entire lives. They focus on prevention support and rehabilitation products trusted by various veterinarians universities and rehabilitation facilities. They have successfully curated a portfolio of 5 brands to aid in this mission and are looking to expand! They operate direct to consumer through platforms like Chewy Amazon and additionally work business to business working with veterinarian businesses

About the Opportunity: Content Manager
  • Develop and manage complete and cohesive content creation and execution plans across all 6 brands
  • Collaborate with external content creators (freelance) graphic designers videographers and other team members to create content
  • Work closely with internal employees across marketing sales and product teams to ensure content aligns with overall company messaging
  • Manage full content umbrella including blog posts social media email website copy ad copy
  • Successfully managing a timely content planning calendar and reporting
  • Take a digital approach by tracking content performance through SEO SEM and keywords
  • Optimize content for relevant petrelated keywords to improve organic search rankings
  • Stay updated on pet industry SEO trends and algorithm changes
  • Utilize analytics tools to track and analyze the performance of content
  • Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Report into the Head of Growth and Director of Marketing


Requirements

  • 23 years of experience in content
  • Experience working in a media agency and managing multiple brands a plus
  • You have a creative eye and a knack for editing
  • Excellent organizational skills you can manage multiple projects timelines budgets stakeholders!
  • Ability to collaborate with senior leadership and be a thoughtful contributor
  • You have a digital mindset and know the best practices when it comes to SEO and SEM
  • Experience managing freelancers in the past a plus
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced startup environment: you thrive with organizing structure and facilitating pieces
  • Experience on direct to consumer brands ideally ecommerce retail or CPG brands
  • Strong communication skills
  • Bigpicture thinker with a creative and growth mindset
  • Ability to multitask prioritize and wear multiple hats
  • Proven track record of strong written communication
  • Strong understanding of foundational marketing principles and the ability to translate then across multiple mediums
  • You have a passion for content and growing audiences through excellent storytelling
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications Journalism or a related field a plus
  • Experience in the pet care industry a plus
  • Must be located in the Greater Toronto Area
