TOTAL Salary package up to $500,000

The Anaesthesia and Pain Service - are seeking to appoint suitably experienced Consultant Anaesthetists who will enjoy a rewarding career through their contribution to a large regional tertiary referral hospital. It has (11) operating theatres catering for all major types of adult and paediatric surgery within the region. Candidates must have extensive knowledge and demonstrated clinical ability commensurate with that expected of a specialist anaesthetist and proven ability to develop and maintain effective service interactions required in the operation of a busy anaesthetic service.

Specialist Anaesthetists provide anaesthesia and related services to all interventional disciplines except Cardiac Surgery, Neurosurgery and Transplant Surgery.

As this is an accredited training site, the position s responsibilities include teaching of anaesthetic trainees as well as other junior medical staff, medical students and nursing staff.
