Job Title: Electrical Project Manager

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Project Manager with a robust background in construction specifically managing projects ranging from $110 million and with expertise in new construction renovations and outfitting. The ideal candidate will have experience in diverse sectors including commercial buildings largescale residential buildings government projects wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) and airport hangars. As an Electrical Project Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing electrical projects in these varied settings from conception to completion with a focus on midsized projects. The successful candidate will ensure that projects are delivered on time within scope and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership communication and technical skills to effectively coordinate and collaborate with crossfunctional teams in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Construction Project Planning and Coordination:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks timelines and resource requirements tailored to midsized projects in the $110 million range across various sectors including commercial residential government WWTP and airport facilities.
    • Coordinate with construction stakeholders including architects general contractors and subcontractors to define project scope and objectives in diverse settings and project types encompassing new construction renovations and outfitting.
  2. Budgeting and Cost Control in Construction:
    • Develop and manage construction project budgets ensuring that costs are controlled and aligned with project goals within the specified budget range and across different project types considering new construction renovations and outfitting.
    • Identify and mitigate potential financial risks specific to midsized construction projects in commercial residential government WWTP and airport settings.
  3. Team Leadership in Construction Settings:
    • Lead and motivate crossfunctional construction project teams to achieve project goals with a focus on midsized projects in varied sectors and project types including new construction renovations and outfitting.
    • Delegate tasks set expectations and provide guidance to team members in the context of construction activities across different project types.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive working environment on construction sites.
  4. Risk Management in Construction Projects:
    • Identify potential risks specific to midsized construction projects in diverse sectors and project types developing strategies to mitigate and resolve issues.
    • Implement risk management plans to ensure construction project success and client satisfaction in commercial residential government WWTP and airport environments.
  5. Quality Assurance in Construction:
    • Ensure that all electrical construction projects adhere to industry standards and regulations across different project types.
    • Implement and oversee quality control processes specific to midsized construction projects to deliver them with the highest level of excellence in various settings encompassing new construction renovations and outfitting.
  6. Client Communication in Construction:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients in midsized construction projects across commercial residential government WWTP and airport sectors.
    • Keep clients informed about project progress milestones and potential challenges addressing client concerns related to construction activities and maintaining positive client relationships.
  7. Timeline Management in Construction:
    • Develop and maintain construction project schedules ensuring that milestones are achieved in a timely manner for midsized projects across different settings and project types including new construction renovations and outfitting.
    • Proactively identify and address potential constructionrelated delays to keep midsized projects on track in commercial residential government WWTP and airport environments.
  8. Documentation and Reporting in Construction:
    • Generate and maintain project documentation specific to midsized construction projects including progress reports technical documentation and construction project manuals considering the diversity of project types.
    • Provide regular updates to construction stakeholders on project status and key performance indicators.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Project Management or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager specifically managing midsized electrical projects in the $110 million range in the construction or engineering industry.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems codes and standards in the context of midsized construction projects across diverse sectors and project types.
  • Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills especially in construction settings.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
