Compliance Officer

Salary: Up to £50,000 DOE

Employment Type: Full-time permanent, Monday to Friday

The Role:

This newly created position offers an exciting opportunity to shape and develop the compliance function and play a critical role in supporting our ambitious plans to transform the way payment facilitators operate and deliver an efficient and engaging experience for our merchant customers. Reporting to the Head of Legal and supported by external compliance consultants, you will be responsible for driving compliance throughout the business, working closely with stakeholders from board to front line and tech.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced innovative environment. You will have proven experience in a compliance advice role with a minimum of 4 years spent working in an FCA regulated firm, ideally with exposure to payments industry/fintech.

Responsibilities:

  • Inhouse SME for all applicable regulatory requirements including PSD2, FCA conduct of business rules, financial crime prevention and anti-money laundering and data protection.
  • Compliance support and advice in day to day matters and project work.
  • Maintain up to date compliance policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a risk-based compliance monitoring plan.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory change and its impact on the business.
  • Design and deliver compliance training programmes to colleagues.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory returns.
  • Oversee and support the wider risk management framework.
