Commodity Sales Trader

Salary Range: $130000 $150000 per year plus commission

As a Commodity Sales Trader you will play a critical role in our sales and trading team focusing on buying and selling commodities such as metals energy or agricultural products. This position requires a deep understanding of market dynamics excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

• Execute buy and sell orders for commodities while managing the associated risks.
• Develop and maintain relationships with a diverse client base to understand their needs and provide tailored market advice.
• Conduct market analysis to identify trading opportunities and trends to inform client strategies.
• Collaborate with analysts to receive timely market information and risk assessments.
• Provide clients with uptodate market intelligence pricing and trading advice.
• Negotiate deals and contracts with clients and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of market regulations and changes that can impact trading activities.
• Manage a portfolio of client accounts ensuring optimal client service and satisfaction.
• Participate in industry events and conferences to enhance market knowledge and expand professional network.
• Keep accurate records of transactions ensuring transparency and compliance with industry standards.

• Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Business or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications such as CFA are advantageous.
• Minimum of 35 years of experience in commodity trading sales trading or a related financial services role.
• Strong understanding of the commodities markets and financial instruments.
• Proven track record of sales success and market analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients.
• High level of numeracy and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
• Strong ethical standards and a professional demeanor.
• Proficiency in trading platforms and analytical software.
• Must be registered or able to register as a trader with the relevant regulatory body.
