The Department of General Surgery is seeking aPhysician Assistant who will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and under the direction, supervision and responsibility of a physician, and in accordance with established policies, evaluates patients health status through diagnostic procedures and This role will provide therapeutic patient care under direction of a physician and in accordance with established The Physician Assistant may act in a lead capacity to training and onboarding of new APPs to the department at the assigned

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

• Interviews patients and compiles patient medical histories to assist in determination of health
  
• Performs physical examinations of patients, noting normal and abnormal
  
• Obtain specimens from patients and runs routine laboratory tests and procedures; performs diagnostic tests, orders non-routine laboratory tests or procedures as
  
• Analyzes and evaluates patient history, physical examination findings and laboratory values, and makes preliminary diagnosis of patients for review by
  
• Develops care/treatment plan for patient according to established protocols and procedures; confers and consults with supervisory physician and other professionals before implementing
  
• Remove and/or reinforce Evaluates wounds, changes dressings and performs wound care to surgical sites relevant to a colorectal surgical patient- including abdomen, pelvis, perineum, rectum and

Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):

• Bachelor s Degree in related field, Masters Degree in Physician Studies or related program preferred
  
• Certification by the NCCPA or similar national certifying body
  
• Completion of CAAHEP certified Physician Assistant
  
• Must be licensed as PA in State of Maryland or District of Columbia, as Must maintain current licensure and certification during duration of
  
• Current CPR certification
  
• Completion of the JHH credentialing process is required prior to start
  
• Minimum of 2 years related clinical experience
