We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to work Remotely supporting our client.

Salary: $130000 $150000

Clearance: US Citizen


A cloud engineer is responsible for implementing and managing cloud infrastructure and services to support the needs of NCUA. Their primary focus is on leveraging cloud computing technologies to build scalable reliable and secure solutions that enable businesses to operate more efficiently and effectively.

Here are their key responsibilities and tasks:

  1. Cloud Infrastructure Provisioning: Provision and configure cloud infrastructure components such as virtual machines storage resources networking databases and other services. They ensure that infrastructure resources are provisioned efficiently and aligned with organizational requirements.
  2. Automation and Orchestration: Automate deployment provisioning configuration and management tasks using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and automation frameworks such as Terraform Ansible or AWS CloudFormation. They create scripts and templates to automate repetitive tasks and streamline operations.
  3. Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Monitor the performance and health of cloud infrastructure and services using monitoring tools and dashboards. They analyze metrics logs and alerts to identify performance bottlenecks optimize resource utilization and troubleshoot issues proactively.
  4. Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and compliance standards to ensure the confidentiality integrity and availability of cloud resources and data. They configure security controls encryption access controls and identity management solutions to protect against security threats and vulnerabilities.
  5. Cloud Migration and Integration: Deliver cloud migration projects migrating onpremises workloads and applications to cloud environments. They assess existing systems and implement migration plans while minimizing disruption and downtime.
  6. Disaster Recovery and High Availability: Deploy disaster recovery (DR) and high availability (HA) solutions to ensure business continuity and resilience in the event of system failures or disasters. They configure backup replication failover and recovery mechanisms to minimize downtime and data loss.
  7. Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including developers architects sysadmins and operations teams to deliver cloud solutions that meet business requirements. They document architecture designs configurations procedures and best practices for knowledge sharing and future reference.
  8. Continuous Learning and Professional Development: Stay abreast on emerging cloud technologies trends and best practices through selfstudy training certifications and participation in professional communities and events. They continuously seek opportunities to enhance their skills and expertise in cloud computing.

In summary cloud engineers play a critical role in the adoption implementation and management of cloud technologies within NCUA. They leverage their expertise in cloud computing to design build secure and optimize cloud infrastructure and services driving business agility innovation and growth.

Experience:

  • Minimum of a bachelor s degree in computer science (Network Security)
  • Minimum of 2 years Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud engineering
  • Minimum of 1 year Terraform InfrastructureasCode (IaC) development.
  • Corporate services such as Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and DNS.
  • Plus:
  • DevSecOps using Azure DevOps (ADO) or Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  • Infrastructure Monitoring using Elastic Cloud
  • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
