Cloud Architect

JOB DESCRIPTION:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

As Cloud Architect you will work on one of the worlds largest social media platform which deals with a few petabytes of data coming to the system daily.

You will contribute as part of R&D selforganized team working in a challenging innovative environment for our client.Investigate create and implement the solutions for many technical challenges using cutting edge technologies including building/enhancing BigData processing platform enabling work of software used by hundreds of millions of users.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures that assigned area/areas are delivered within set deadlines and required quality objectives.
Create blueprints for hybrid cloud infrastructures centered around AWS (network server storage security and management software topologies) Run technical workshops and advise customers on architectural and strategic IT decisions.
Ensure that a quality solution is delivered in a timely manner within budget and to our clients satisfaction.
Participate in architecture definition for Cloud Initiatives utilizing industry best practices and technologies.
Provide handson prototypes and implementations incorporating cloud engineering best practices Develop technical content like white paper etc.
Design implement and maintain pipelines that produce business critical data reliably and efficiently using cloud technology.
Create a wellinformed cloud strategy and manage the adaption process.
Regularly evaluate cloud applications hardware and software.
Develop and organize cloud systems.
Work closely with IT security to monitor the companys cloud privacy.
Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs.
Evaluating existing data systems.
Evaluating implemented data systems for variances discrepancies and efficiency.
Understand the business drivers and analytical usecases and translate these to data products.
Addresses arealevel risks provides and implements mitigation plan.
Reports about area readiness/quality and raise red flags in crisis situations which are beyond his/her AOR.
Responsible for resolving crisis situations within his/her AOR.
Suggests technical and functional improvements to add value to the product.
