Cloud Admin FinOps Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Administrator & FinOps Analyst to join our team and oversee the optimization management and administration of our cloud resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud computing platforms cost management principles and a proven track record of effectively managing cloud infrastructure to optimize costs while maintaining performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Cloud Cost Optimization:
  

• Analyze cloud usage patterns and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  

• Implement costsaving strategies such as rightsizing scheduling and resource consolidation.
  

• Monitor cloud spending and budget utilization providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
  

• Cloud Resource Management:
  

• Provision and manage cloud resources according to organizational needs and best practices.
  

• Monitor resource utilization and performance optimizing configurations as needed.
  

• Implement security and access controls to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  

• Vendor Management:
  

• Engage with cloud service providers to understand pricing models and maximize value.
  

• Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and features to enhance performance and reduce costs.
  

• Automation and Tooling:
  

• Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud management tasks.
  

• Utilize cloud management platforms and thirdparty tools to monitor analyze and manage cloud resources efficiently.
  

• Cost Reporting and Analysis:
  

• Generate regular reports on cloud spending utilization and costsaving initiatives.
  

• Conduct indepth analysis of cost trends and variances identifying areas for further optimization.
  

• Team Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:
  

• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to align cloud resources with business objectives.
  

• Share expertise and best practices with team members to foster continuous improvement and skill development.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field. (Masters degree preferred)
  

• Proven experience in cloud cost management administration or related roles.
  

• Indepth knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
  

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify cost optimization opportunities.
  

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python PowerShell) for automation tasks.
  

• Familiarity with cloud management tools and platforms (e.g. AWS Cost Explorer Azure Cost Management).
  

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  

• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect are a plus.
