Chef to travel and work

We seek a creative professional and detailoriented Chef to join our busy catering team! The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience working within the food and catering industry and have an excellent knowledge of various types of food creation methods worldwide. The focus of the role will be to assist the Head Chef with the creation and validation of dishes including preparation and execution of the dishes while working alongside the head chef and ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen.

Responsibilities.

Collaborate with the Head Chef to introduce new and exciting dishes to the menu.

Taste and make suggestions on improving dishes to ensure customer satisfaction.

Edit and revamp menus where required.

Cook and create dishes from various cuisines from around the world.

Liaise with the pastry chef to convey desert requirements for the restaurant.

Provide cover to the head chef during periods of absence

Lead and manage the junior kitchen team members and delegate tasks effectively to them.

Ensure food quality is the best it can be.

Ensure that food hygiene practices are adhered to by all team members at all times.

Maintain a positive and productive work environment within the kitchen.

Prepare ingredients for dishes efficiently and within deadlines.

Ensure food leaves the kitchen hot wellcooked and aesthetically pleasing.

Requirements.
Willing to travel and work overseas.
Willing to apply for a passport.

Degree or Diploma in Culinary Arts.
Minimum of 12 months Experience will be considered.

Great understanding of food from around the world and different cuisines.

Demonstrated experience in leading a junior team and delegating tasks where required.

Demonstrated ability to ensure productivity within a team and meet and exceed deadlines and targets.

Excellent communication abilities both written and verbal.

Effective negotiation and influencing abilities.

Possesses good knowledge of ingredients and different types of cuisine.

Creative by nature.

Passion for creating highquality tasty food.

Experience with working in a fastpaced highpressured environment
