Chapter Leader
Service Owner Middleware

Job Summary:

The Chapter Leader Service Owner Middleware plays a crucial leadership role in overseeing the strategic direction design implementation and operational efficiency of middleware services within the organization. This position combines handson technical expertise with managerial responsibilities requiring a strong understanding of middleware technologies and the ability to lead and mentor a team of professionals. The Chapter Leader collaborates closely with cross functional teams business stakeholders and external partners to ensure the optimal performance and security of middleware services.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:
Lead and inspire a team of middleware professionals providing guidance mentoring and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Develop and execute a strategic vision for middleware services aligned with organizational goals.

Design and Implementation:
Oversee the design and implementation of middleware solutions ensuring alignment with
best practices and industry standards.
Work closely with technical teams to ensure successful integration of new middleware
technologies.

Operational Excellence:
Drive operational excellence by ensuring the availability performance and stability of
middleware services.
Establish and optimize processes for proactive monitoring incident management and
continuous improvement.

Security and Compliance:
Implement and oversee robust security measures to protect middleware services from
potential threats.
Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with relevant standards and
regulations.
Collaboration and Communication.
Foster effective communication and collaboration with crossfunctional teams business
units and external partners.
Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders translating technical concepts into businessoriented language.

Professional Development:
Support the professional development of team members identifying training needs and
providing opportunities for skill enhancement.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in the middleware space.

Requirements :
Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead and inspire a team of middleware
professionals.
Indepth knowledge of middleware technologies including application servers integration platforms and messaging systems.
Strong project management skills and the ability to balance strategic initiatives with daytoday operational requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate technical
concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
Proactive problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
Customerfocused mindset with a keen understanding of business objectives.
Must fulfil the requirements to obtain an EU security clearance

Education and Experience:
Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science engineering or a related field.
Extensive experience (7 years) in managing middleware services with a proven track record of leadership.
Proven experience with middleware products and tools such as Weblogic Tomcat Apache SOA/BPM/OSB
Experience with tools such as Documentum Liferay Wildfly Redis is an asset
Relevant certifications in middleware technologies (e.g. Oracle WebLogic IBM WebSphere)
are a plus.
