Job Title: Change Management Consultant

Job Type: Contract; Full-Time

Location: Canada (Remote)


About the Company:

Position Summary:

The Change Management service provider s activities could include (but is not limited to) the following:

  • Providing change advisory services to senior executives, leaders and project teams.

  • Connecting the dots between the specific change initiative and the company's 2030 Strategy.

  • Advising on sequencing of implementation and various change management activities.

  • Ensuring complete stakeholder impact assessments are in place, including both an internal and an external lens.

  • Helping the business to articulate the people and process impacts of the change (from-to statements and future state visions).

  • Ensuring change management approaches are designed and implemented in alignment with the company s change methodology, the company s 2030 strategy and with appropriate enterprise consideration.

  • Facilitating the alignment of senior leaders for effective sponsorship of enterprise transformations as required.

  • Coaching and supporting leaders and employees at all levels on their role as sponsors and change champions.

  • Communications and engagement planning and delivery in alignment with the overall company s change agenda.

  • Supporting the identification of learning needs and collaborating (if required) on learning deliverables for internal teams.

  • Identifying, mitigating, and escalating (as appropriate) change risks, issues and barriers.

  • Ongoing assessment of the effectiveness of the change approach and adjustment as needed.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Small Segment Program to provide change management services for initiatives impacting the company. These include:

o Implementation of the Financial Crime program

o Product releases from both Insurance and Working Capital families

  • Work with stakeholders at all levels to identify and validate change priorities and assess the level and impact of change.

  • Create actionable outcomes for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, and resistance management plan for each initiative.

  • Leverage the use of the company s Change Management Methodology.

  • Build relationships with other corporate change support teams where required such as Corporate Communications, Program and Project Management, Business Partners, and Learning and Development to partner in the delivery.

  • Coach and mentor team by sharing relevant change management methodology or facilitation processes, setting up processes so that change activities that are repetitive can then be handled by the project team as required.

  • Ensure stakeholder impacts are clear and communicated across dependant project streams and other portfolios/projects.

  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress, mitigate risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality.

The company s Small Segment team is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and agile Change Advisor to support Small Segment initiatives by developing, implementing, and evaluating strategic change requirements in this space.


The Change Advisor will play a key role in ensuring employee adoption and usage. The Change Advisor will focus on the people's side of change including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance. The Change Advisor will work with initiative teams and leaders to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization and greater proficiency of the changes that impact employees in the organization to increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and outcomes.


Skills:


Top Skills Required:

  • Demonstrate specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in change management consultancy.

  • Excellent facilitation skills with ability to influence change at higher levels.

  • Ability to quickly understand and gauge corporate climate and culture.

  • Excellent communication skills.


Other Skills Required:

  • Excellent project management, prioritization, and organizational skills.

  • Experience with change management in an Agile environment


Assets:

  • Minimum 7 years experience in employee and/or organizational effectiveness or change management.

  • Advanced knowledge of organizational effectiveness or change management principles and practices.

  • Change management certification or designation.

  • Strong understanding of Financial institutions and/or previous experience providing change management support for financial institutions
