Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to drive growth and achieve organisational objectives.

  • Market Expansion: Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities, expanding our presence in the sports industry.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing business development team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.

  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their evolving needs and ensuring overall satisfaction.

  • Sales Targets: Set ambitious sales targets, monitoring progress, and implementing corrective measures as needed to achieve and exceed goals.

  • Partnerships and Alliances: Identify and pursue strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance our market position and offerings.

  • B2B and B2C Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge and experience in both B2B and B2C sales strategies, tailoring approaches for diverse client segments.

  • Portals Management: Manage relationships and transactions on national and international B2B portals such as Alibaba and Indiamart.

  • E-commerce Knowledge: Stay abreast of trends and advancements in the e-commerce space, leveraging this knowledge to optimise our online presence.

  • Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics, providing insights for informed decision-making.

  • Reporting: Generate regular reports on business development performance, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

  • Proven experience in business development, with at least 4 years in a managerial role.

  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Familiarity with the sports industry and e-commerce portals.

  • Proficiency in using CRM software for lead tracking and management.
