Business Development Manager Federal Market

NEXGEN Asset Management is growing! Were competing against Oracle and IBM Maximo and were winning. Are you ready to join a winning team We are seeking a dynamic and resultsdriven Business Development Manager to spearhead our expansion efforts within the Federal Market. This pivotal role will involve strategic planning market analysis and client engagement to drive growth and position NEXGEN as the preferred solution provider. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales a deep understanding of the Federal Market landscape and a proven track record of success in upsetting competitors particularly IBM Maximo.

The Business Development Manager is part of the Business Development team and will report to the VP of Business Development. This is full time position based out of our Sacramento CA office.

JOB DUTIES:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to penetrate and expand NEXGENs presence within the Federal Market segment.
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify key opportunities trends and competitive insights.
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders including government agencies departments and decisionmakers.
  • Lead the endtoend sales process from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and closure ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and revenue targets.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including sales marketing and product development to drive cohesive gotomarket strategies and initiatives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on NEXGENs EAM/CMMS solutions effectively articulating value propositions and differentiation points to prospects and clients.
  • Continuously monitor market dynamics regulatory changes and industry trends to inform strategic decisionmaking and enhance competitive positioning.
  • Drive customer success and satisfaction by providing exceptional service support and ongoing relationship management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development sales or account management roles within the software industry with a focus on enterprise solutions.
  • Proven track record of success in selling software solutions to the Federal Government with a deep understanding of procurement processes compliance requirements and contracting vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Computerized Maintenance Management Service (CMMS) software preferably in a SaaS environment.
  • Excellent communication presentation and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a resultsdriven mindset and a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and exceed targets.
  • Highly organized selfmotivated and capable of thriving in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients attend industry events and support business development activities
