Client is seeking a Localization Specialist/Editor to join our International Localization team. In this role you will work with crossfunctional partners to ensure dynamic catalogue content for our global sellers is impeccably localized and finetuned for linguistic excellence reflecting the cultural and linguistic nuances of target markets worldwide. The role requires a high level of knowledge of native slang phraseologies and nuances in the language of expertise.

• Review and validate machinetranslated outputs for our dynamic catalogue content ensuring linguistic accuracy adherence to cultural nuances and overall readability.
• Act as the quality gatekeeper voice and market ambassador for the XX locale ensuring the content resonates well with the local audience.
• Coordinate creation and maintenance of linguistic assets: translation memories glossaries style guides reference materials for the language/market of expertise.
• Keep the translation memory up to date with the terminology approved by content designers marketing operations and legal teams.
• Thoroughly QA all localized content and apps to ensure consistent messaging and proper functionality.
• Identify and fix linguistic and cultural issues before launch.
• Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the localization process.
• Communicate efficiently with product managers technical managers and engineers team leads and stakeholders from other disciplines to align with project requirements and quality standards.
• Articulate kindly your sound rationale to stakeholders about specific linguistic choices when needed.
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Minimum qualifications.

• B.A./B.S. or equivalent 4year university degree. Translation linguistics international/multilingual marketing or similar field of study.
• 3 years of experience in software localization or translation/review for tech companies.
• Experienced user in ecommerce websites and apps with knowledge of retail online platforms.
• Proven track record of translation and localization experience for software applications.
• Experience in working under pressure prioritizing and managing projects simultaneously.
• Experience with localization platforms file formats and CAT tools to manage and/or automate the translation workflow.

Preferred qualifications.

• M.A. in translation linguistics international/multilingual marketing or similar field of study.
• 5 years of relevant experience in software localization QA testing linguistic QA.
• Demonstrated knowledge of internationalization and localization standards and best practices.
• Experience in copywriting or editing in the language of expertise.
• Excellent communication skills.
