As a Trainee Belt Slicer / Rubber Liner, you will receive comprehensive training and guidance to master the art of belt splicing and also rubber lining, setting you on the path to a rewarding career in this industry. This role will have a Monday-Friday roster with some Saturdays as an exception if the company is busy.
Responsibilities:
- Provide quality support to the team of experienced staff to deliver quality work in a timely manner.
- Carrying out preparation and movement of stock, maintaining a tidy work area and other general trades assistance activities.
- Support the other team members to deliver on customer orders including surface preparation, preparing and fitting rubber.
- Operate the forklift to lift and move large mining equipment, pallets, crates and other substrates.
- Ensure equipment and tooling is available for the days tasks.
- Packing, strapping, wrapping, loading and unload goods and customer orders.
- Carry out deliveries and collections as required.
Requirements:
- No experience in the industry is required. Some knowledge or experience in mining, construction or manufacturing environments advantageous.
- Enjoy working hands-on in a good environment.
- A genuine desire to develop a career in the industry, with the motivation and enthusiasm to do your best each day, is a must.
- Current Drivers licence and reliable car.
- Forklift licence
- Construction Safety Awareness (White) Card (or willingness to obtain one)
- National Police clearance
Ability to pass a D&A screen
Ability to pass a Pre employment Medical
