About the Role

Service Streams Telecommunications division are currently seeking Fibre Splicers to contribute to the profitability and growth of the network construction business unit.

This role requires a competent experienced Fibre Splicer to undertake telecommunications installation and maintenance activities relating to fibre splicing and testing activities.

This opportunity will suit a highly motivated and outcome driven individual who has a passion for delivering positive client outcomes and a knack for effective stakeholder engagement.

Nature of position: Permanent Full Time

Location: Ferntree Gully VIC

Key Responsibilities

This role is responsible for:

• Optic fibre testing/splicing and commissioning as appropriate and running Optic Fibre cable

• Update appropriate systems with project completion data and maintain databases of reference

• Carry out site inspections prior to work commencing

• Act as the first or second member of a twoperson team working in defined confined spaces or larger jobs

• Adhere to ALL company policies and procedures

• Provide assistance and support onthejob training to other staff when required

• Perform other duties as required which may include activities normally carried out at other levels

About You

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate and possess the following:

• Previous experience in Ribbon Fibre/NBN Networks and Telecommunications

• Hold relevant regulatory certification as required

• A Certificate III in Telecommunications is highly regarded

• Any industry accreditations within the Telecommunications Industry are advantageous

• Current drivers licence
