Your job & your team

As an essential player in the rapidly growing operations team, you are the person who accompanies the customer through the entire process with us. You ensure that our customers have an unforgettable experience and that internal processes run efficiently. You play a central role between the trading team, our suppliers, customers and logistics in overseas operations. Most importantly, you understand customers and their needs, keep a cool head even when things get stressful, and love the challenge of reconciling different interests. We also appreciate it if you bring in your own ideas and suggestions for improvement, are tech-savvy yourself and are interested in change.

You are not alone with this task. Sandra (Team Lead Operations) will work closely with you at first so that you can fulfill your role well. And you have a great international team at your side that will give you a warm welcome. Together you ensure that our customers feel that they are in good hands and understood at Metaloop and that our team can master the next growth steps smoothly.

Tasks

You are well-versed in customer service and handling complaints.

  • You have experience with the planning, coordination and scheduling of international and overseas transport orders (mainly containers) and the creation of transport documents.
  • You have a quick grasp of processes and tasks as well as the needs of customers, partners and colleagues.
  • You have the ability to advance several projects or tasks at the same time without losing track (project & time management).
  • You master the art of (virtual) communication and treat internal and external customers with respect and appreciation - even in challenging situations.
  • You are up to date in dealing with technology & IT (Google Apps, VoIP, e-mail, CRM like Salesforce, Slack) and like to get to know new tools and applications.
  • You have initial experience with preparatory bookkeeping or accounting.
  • You are well-versed in customer service and handling complaints.
  • You don't shy away from price negotiations either.
  • You take responsibility when it comes to documenting new processes and process improvements.

Central tasks

  • Answering customer inquiries or customer service by email and phone (goal: 5-star ratings)
  • Optimal selection of the means of transport
  • Preparing the documents
  • Monitoring the shipments
  • Creatively solving logistics problems
  • Coordinating with suppliers, customers and the internal team
  • Settlement of transactions

Requirements

Professional experience and other qualifications

  • Completed commercial training (FH, HAK, HBLA, office clerk/ -woman, freight forwarding clerk) and at least 3 years of experience in a customer-oriented and commercial role (optimal: back office in the metalworking industry, overseas transport)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills - also in a virtual environment
  • Fluent in Business English (company language) and ideally fluent in German
  • Good knowledge of Spanish, Italian and French desirable
