Azure Architect

As a Cloud Architect you will analyze design implement tune and manage IT infrastructure in our MS Azure cloud environment.

This role will support Corporate Functions and Strategic Business Units (SBUs worldwide. In this career track you will be expected to work with crossfunctional teams of IT professionals to architect implement and support enterprise cloud landing zones and business solutions.

In this role you will use various support performance monitoring and tuning tools and make recommendations to internal customers.

You will coordinate people/projects as necessary and guide technical direction on cloud governance and solution architecture alongside internal teams to meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to review and design cloud solution architectures and ensure solutions meeting business and IT needs.

Lead efforts to continuously improve standards related to architecture governance and security of public cloud environments.

Manage and continuously improve public cloud Landing Zones including core IT Infrastructure shared services.

Optimize the cost of cloud solutions through rightsizing wastefinding automation and reserved instances.

Demonstrate a passion for learning keeping up to date on technical. advancements and industry trends.

Evangelize the use of cloud technologies across the IT organization alongside fellow engineers change management and communication professionals.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in computer science/information technology or 10 years of proven experience in cloud engineering or equivalent field.

2year experience as Cloud Architect.

Understanding of modern software development practices and life cycle.

At least 10 years of experience working in Microsoft Azure. Must be Certified.

Experience automating cloud operations and management.

Understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and multicloud strategies.

Knowledge of cloud security best practices and automation of security controls.

Working knowledge and experience with a broad set of enterprise domains is preferred including security infrastructure development and data analytics
