Position Overview: As an Automotive Design Engineer you will play a crucial role in the development and creation of innovative automotive products. Working within a dynamic team you will be responsible for designing and engineering various components and systems to meet performance safety and efficiency standards. Your role will involve collaborating with crossfunctional teams utilizing cuttingedge technology and adhering to industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conceptual Design:

   • Generate creative and feasible design concepts for automotive components and systems.
   • Conduct research to stay updated on industry trends emerging technologies and design innovations.

2. CAD Modeling and Simulation:

   • Utilize ComputerAided Design (CAD) software to create detailed 3D models of automotive components and systems.
   • Perform simulations and analyses to validate designs and ensure they meet performance and safety requirements.

3. Prototyping and Testing:

   • Collaborate with prototyping teams to develop physical prototypes of designs for testing and validation.
   • Analyze test results and iterate designs accordingly to enhance performance and address any issues.

4. CrossFunctional Collaboration:

   • Work closely with crossfunctional teams including mechanical engineers electrical engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of components into the overall vehicle design.
   • Collaborate with other departments such as marketing and sales to incorporate customer feedback and market requirements into design considerations.

5. Compliance and Standards:

   • Ensure designs comply with industry regulations safety standards and environmental guidelines.
   • Stay informed about regulatory changes and integrate updates into the design process.

6. Cost Optimization:

   • Collaborate with the procurement and manufacturing teams to identify costeffective materials and manufacturing processes without compromising quality.

7. Documentation:

   • Create comprehensive design documentation including specifications drawings and test plans.
   • Maintain organized records of design iterations and updates.

8. Continuous Improvement:

   • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in design processes tools and methodologies.
   • Stay engaged in professional development to remain at the forefront of automotive design advancements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering Automotive Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in automotive design with a focus on components and systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD CATIA SolidWorks).
• Strong understanding of engineering principles materials and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of automotive industry regulations and standards.
• Familiarity with simulation and analysis tools is a plus.
