Audit Risk Analyst

We are currently looking for an Audit Risk Analyst for one of our clients in the insurance industry.

What is in it for you:

Hourly salary of $58.01 to $82.70 based on experience.
6month contract.
Fulltime 37.50 hours per week.
Hybrid work of 3 remote days 2 office days.

Responsibilities:

Plan and execute audit projects in accordance with department standards within resource budgets and target dates.
Have adequate understanding of the risks being handled by the unit being audited and develop audit scope and audit programs to evaluate the controls in place to mitigate these risks.
Prepare review and carry out test procedures to evaluate the controls to ensure that test objectives and documentation standards are met.
Perform fieldwork as needed to meet deadlines to complete audit work.
Prepare clear concise and wellorganized audit reports including executive summary and rating of adequacy of risk management.
Coach and mentor junior staff assisting on assignments.
Apply analytical skills and be open minded to explore different ways to audit embrace and utilize data analytics to enhance audit coverage.

What you will need to succeed:

University degree relevant to the position.
Professional certification in either accounting (CPA CA) or auditing (CIA CISA).
6 to 8 years of internal audit risk management or equivalent business or advisory/consulting experience.
2 years of life insurance experience with a strong understanding of life and health insurance operations and products.
Good understanding of life and health insurance operations applicable regulations and risks.
Knowledge of audit standards and methodologies and risk management practices and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of data analysis tools is preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and recommendations and to listen and consider ideas of others.
Ability to work efficiently in diverse environments and cultures.
