About the role

The role of Associate Consultant is a great starting point for anyone looking to establish a career in Growth Consulting and is an indispensable resource within our Client Consulting Practices. This role encompasses rigorous desk research and client insight development ensuring that our consultancy services are anchored in a forensic understanding of clients business landscapes. As the practices primary support pillar the Associate Consultant plays an instrumental role in helping develop accurate proposals supporting business forecasting and helping to develop long lasting and trusted relationships with our clients.

Key Accountabilities:

  • The primary support pillar in the practice: This means ensuring Consultants receive assistance in developing accurate proposals underpinned by rigorous desk research gathering client insights and detailed client account stakeholder profiling to help advance the practices growth trajectory.
  • Supporting team resource management and business forecasting: This involves consistently tracking resource capacity using datadriven methodologies ensuring accurate forecasting to support business decisions and being available to address any stakeholder research and profiling enquiries emphasising industry and category research.
  • Helping enable deeper client relationships:Fostering and maintaining these relationships requires more than just communication it requires a deep understanding of our clients business industry and nuanced needs achieved through comprehensive desk research activities and client account stakeholder mapping.
  • Demonstrating project management & delivery excellence: Producing clear coherent research and insights deliverables with a high attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of client stakeholder landscapes.
  • System accuracy: Responsibility for maintaining uptodate records on consultancy platforms like Mavenlink and HubSpot especially in tracking projects related to research insights and client account stakeholder profiling ensuring every piece of information is accurate and accessible.
  • Staying ahead of the curve: Ongoing monitoring of client and industry updates tracking client and industry developments such as stakeholder shifts client events and key announcements. Being the eyes and ears of the team means consistently updating account stakeholder profiles and relaying relevant insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration with practice consultants:Work handinhand with consultants to ensure the seamless execution of all insights tasks. Accurately scoping costing and delivering projects with a particular emphasis on insights indepth desk research and stakeholder profiling.
  • Risk management: Proactive identification of potential setbacks in the practices operations especially those related to research and insights. If risks are detected promptly escalating to relevant stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of crossfunctional research efforts and asset delivery.
  • Active client engagement: Attending and/or leading client status calls providing comprehensive overviews of all practice work deliverables and their foundational strategies. Assisting consultants daily handling client interactions and scheduling ensuring that client operational needs are wellrepresented and addressed.
  • Project setup and governance: Ensure that every project is set up accurately in Mavenlink. This task involves consistent tracking timely updates and stringent adherence to our project governance standards.
  • Data administration and reporting: Meticulous management of practice data within Consultancy systems extracting insights and reporting on practice business performance metrics. An emphasis should be placed on data related to client stakeholder profiling and industry insights.
  • Collaborative growth: Work with fellow Associate Consultants to share knowledge refine best practices and continuously innovate. Show an active interest in all client projects set new standards for stakeholder profiling and demonstrate an eagerness to discover new avenues for learning and growth.

Technical skills

  • Advanced Research Proficiency: Capable of conducting meticulous desk research gathering client and industry insights and efficiently analysing data for actionable recommendations.
  • Confident use of Consultancy Tools: Proficient in tools like Mavenlink and HubSpot for project management tracking and maintaining client contact databases.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identifying and preemptively addressing potential risks ensuring smooth operations and proactive solutions.
