Support all company safety initiatives. Enforce all safety policies to ensure safe healthy and accidentfree work environment.
Maintain housekeeping checklists and coordinate continuous improvement activities.
Provide leadership direction and motivation to employees in order to maintain the quality output of the shift.
Correct machine and production line set up. Oversee and work with machine technicians.
Assist technicians with issues during production run.
Ensure required production and quality control paperwork for production run is completed properly.
Maintain the production schedule through the coordination of activities scheduling of overtime as required crosstraining.
Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
Work with Team Leads to develop and execute training plans for all operators to ensure they have the skills needed to safely and correctly do their jobs and are sufficiently cross trained to optimize resource usage.
Respond timely to all personnel issues and concerns. Interact with Human Resources department to address employee issues as required.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Three to five years previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Lean Manufacturing experience a plus
Superior interpersonal problem solving and communications skills.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Adequate computer knowledge and skills
Demonstrated ability to mentor others and ability to work well under pressure.
Goal orientated and motivation to achieve tasks within set timelines.
Must have strong mechanical knowledge and roll to roll or vacuum coating experience.
Must be able to work 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM Some overtime will be required.
EDUCATION: Degree in a technical and relevant field (Physical Vapor Deposition Chemical Vapor Deposition Sputtering Thin Film Coating Thin film Deposition) or a combination of education and experience.
