Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customerfocused individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager. This role plays a crucial part in our growth strategy focusing on both selfstorage and the expansion of our UHaul truck rental services.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement: Professionally engage customers in person and over the phone to provide information about our storage solutions and UHaul rental services. Utilize consultative and suggestive selling skills to meet customer needs effectively.
Administrative Capabilities: Use your strong computer desktop skills for making reservations processing payments and maintaining accurate customer records. Follow up with customers to confirm and ensure reservation details.
Sales and Occupancy Management: Execute the facility sales plan to achieve revenue targets. Maximizing the facility s profitability by driving business growth and maintaining high rental occupancy rates (bonuses are paid on profits).
SelfMotivation and Independence: Must be able to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate a proactive approach to tasks. Be selfmotivated and driven to succeed in a competitive market. Excellence in all things!
Facility Maintenance: Ensure the facility is wellmaintained clean and presents a positive image to customers. Document known issues in the WebSelfStorage facility management software and ensure they are addressed in a timely manner.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform facility walkarounds conduct inspections and assist customers with their needs is often required. Sometimes objects weighing up to 45 pounds will need to be lifted and moved. Qualified candidates will need to demonstrate this ability.
Requirements
- Previous experience in sales customer service or a related field is preferred.
- Working knowledge of MS Outlook Gmail and internet search skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
