Firefighter
Conducts firefighting duties in line with training and the supervision of the Crew Chief / Station Officer
Responsible for the operation of vehicle radio
Conducts vehicle replenishment of water and agent/media
Participates in the ongoing mandatory competency-based fire training of fire and rescue service personnel as
Conducts serviceability and readiness testing of vehicle/equipment and PPE in alignment with the airfield
Reports vehicle and equipment status including defects requiring attention to the Crew Chief / Crew
Conducts daily station duties to maintain a clean and safe working environment, actively promoting health, safety, welfare and environmentally safe
Conducts all duties in line with company and airfield standard operating
Is required to wear all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as protective clothing, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and chemical protection as
Performs fire related client/customer engagement activities, including the delivery of educational fire safety awareness programmes, training, specialist event cover and standby services in support of other airfield departments as
Maintains their own personal physical fitness levels to support requirements of the
Performs any other role and/or associated duties as required and assigned by their line management
Education - Ten (10) years formal (High School Graduate)
Specialized Qualifications Applicants shall be certified competent in role and as a minimum requirement, qualified to an Aviation Rescue & Firefighting Service standard recognised by international/regional regulatory bodies such as: GACA (Essential), ICAO and/or CAA, FAA, GCAA.
Certification, ProBoard or IFSAC accredited:
- NFPA 1001 Firefighter I/II (Essential)
