• ROLE

Ensure smooth transition of the allotted project from design conception to execution on site.

• DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary

• Research and Design

Create original design work utilizing specifications sketches and ideas based on extensive research.

Analyze space utilization effectiveness and structural feasibility of the proposed design.

• Working Drawings

Prepare detailed errorfree working drawings as per company template and specifications.

Adhere to the list of drawings provided to ensure timely release of GFC drawings.

• Coordination with External Agencies

Coordinate with consultants to obtain detailed supporting drawings.

Perform extensive Market research for new technologies and materials and coordinate with vendors to attain product information and competitive quotes.

• Site Visits

Site visits to check on project progress ensuring that the project is running as per the schedule and to budget.

Secondary

The Architect splits their time between the office and the project site and ensures the continuous progress of the project through effective coordination with the site team.

Maintain the project management master file of allotted projects through regular meetings with the Site Engineer to oversee the progress and maintain the schedule of construction.

Review bills submitted by the Project Engineer/Contractor verify specified materials are being used dimensions are as drawn and quality is according to the released drawings.

Check DPR and weekly indents to monitor the daily work schedule onsite.

Ensuring the proper filing of communications with the owners site team and any external agencies.

Establish contacts for various industry trends and material procurement

Resolve problems and issues that arise during construction by providing innovative solutions.

Working knowledge: Should have a working knowledge of design and basics of the Earthitects style of architecture.

People Management: Being a designcentric individual the Architect must establish effective communication with the onsite team for the smooth execution of the project.

Queries: Queries/requests received during any working day must be quickly attended to with the highest service levels.

Processes: Follow preset processes diligently.

Technology: Should be proficient in AutoCAD & Microsoft Office with basic knowledge of Photoshop & SketchUp.

Knowledge: Should be passionate about acquiring knowledge to implement new ideas and concepts. Continuous acquisition of knowledge. Opting for the Earthitects Education policy to broaden knowledge is encouraged.
