AnalystSr Analyst-Medical Record Reviewer

Job Description

Medical reviewers at Analyst/Senior Analyst level review or audit the medical records for completeness and accuracy by looking at various pieces of documentation. They will develop products with Level2 competency and ensure to prepare a Neutral chronology giving the positives and negative facts about the case and customizing the product based on the client requirements. Based on business requirement all competency cases and other vertical cases shall be assigned with proper training and support. They must be fully aware of standards in medical treatment new coding government and insurance guidelines. They should have basic knowledge on drugs medical devices common medical treatment procedures at Primary care Secondary care or Tertiary care level in healthcare systems. To work in collaboration with Medical Specialists (MDs) getting their timely guidance ability to explain the case and the medical events reviewing the MD products and initiating discussions with them on queries.

Requirements

Identify/ classify various types of medical records and capture relevant data as per instruction

Interpret the medical information from the records and incorrect or missing documentation

Decipher information related to history and examination and present the event in the most appropriate format as per the case requirement

Verify the consistency of the ROS (Review of systems) and PFSH (Past Family Social histories) recorded by physician/RN/PAC/ ancillary staff or on a form completed by the patient.

Interpret handwritten notes such as doctors and nurse notes

Record the medical events chronologically and document the care of the patient.

Understand the case focus and get information into chronology

Verify the plaintiff fact sheet and compare it with the available medical records.

Review past and present diagnoses and identify appropriate health risk factors.

Escalate timely to client on any areas of clarification required.

Raise estimate rebuttals to Customer Support Team

Requirements

Technical Skills Required (Preferable)


1. Basic knowledge in Adobe MS word Excel or Power Point
2. Build expertise in English language to meet the standards of medical documentation
3. Good typing and keyboard skills
