Airfreight Gateway Specialist, Machelen

We, from Adecco Belgium, are looking for 2 Airfreight Gateway Specialists who will join their Air&Sea team in Machelen, near Brussels.

Tasks

As an Airfreight Gateway Specialist you are responsible for all documents, clearances and necessary controls of the goods that are shipped from our warehouse. This way you make sure that all export shipments arrive at their destination in a correct and fully documented
way. In addition, you also take care of the bookings with the various airlines.

Your other tasks will be:

• You take care of the daily service and contacts with ground handlers, GSA's and all communication regarding the airfreight bookings
• Perform the bookings with the airlines & calculate the profit on the shipments
• Following the specific instructions of the export team
• You take care of the compliance of the airfreight bookings specifically for pharma
• Identifying and modifying deviations
• Daily contact within the DSV network in the event of deviations
• Sharing necessary customs documents with the shared service center
• Optimizing consolidations & build ups of shipments

Requirements

Skills required:

• To have education in logistics and already first experience in logistics and airfreight
• You are customer oriented & result driven
• You like contacts with different departments & putting documentation in order
• You can set priorities very well and you know what is important
• Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
• Proficient in MS Office applications
