Position Summary:
Please note that the resource will occasionally be expected to work in the companys office location (Toronto, Montreal or Ottawa, whichever is closest to them.) Please note that resource will be expected to travel to the companys Head Office (Ottawa) approximately 3 times per year if they are located elsewhere.
Agile Coaching -Development and coaching of Agile teams including those practicing Scrum and Kanban
Responsibilities:
Provide guidance to Scrum Masters and teams on how to transition to and operate in delivery environments and how to resolve complex problems, growing capability across the organization. Helps anticipate internal and external business challenges and find solutions through process, product or service improvements Includes direct support of work mobilization activities (e.g., road map development, functional decomposition)
Ability and responsibility to recognize different Agile approaches / methodologies and align to the companys standards and be held accountable
Drives continuous improvement of Agile practices and processes with an influence on industry best practices; investigates and (where necessary) escalates all delivery issues to support effective resolution and increase team performance
Ability to establish goals and objectives and contribute to the project s overall direction; Provide advice to teams and all levels of leadership, supporting forecasting initiatives and demand in order to help develop an annual strategic plan.
Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams and functions
Demonstrates adaptability, flexibility and creativity in their approach to stakeholder engagement and work to support the Agile transformation agenda
Supports business and technology ownership to ensure their ability / agile competencies to complete key activities required for agile delivery, including roadmap and story map development and how those activities translate to traditional approaches such as functional decomposition and architectural alignment
Specific Project Requirements:
10+ years practicing Agile, including Scrum and/or Kanban
5+ as a coach/transformation advisor at an enterprise level, including coaching senior leaders
Skills:
Expert level knowledge of Agile practices
Experience acting as an advisor and coach of teams and leaders
Strong and effective communication skills
Design and implementation of Agile work management systems at scale
Workshop facilitation
Agile Training facilitation
Advanced Agile Certification
Bilingual in French and English
Experience with Azure DevOps, Aha!, Planview
