Your contribution
This position is involved in all aspects of statutory accounting and is a key role for the Country Finance Services (CFS) function with a primary focus on legal entities in Germany. This position involves e.g. the preparation of statutory financial statements notes and reporting packages as well as the preparation of some account reconciliations. This position also provides support for the annual CFS budgeting process. This position is based in Hannover and reports to the CFS Manager also based in Hannover.
Tasks
- Reconciliation from USGAAP accounting to statutory (HGB) financial statements (i.e. bridge) for entities in responsibility
- Account assignment of closing entries / monitoring of orderly booking
- Determination of provisions and accruals
- Overview of assets / liabilities general ledger accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliation for certain accounts on a monthly basis
- Preparation of commercial annual financial statements incl. notes and management report according to statutory reporting requirements primarily for entities in Germany
- Coordination of external audits for legal entities primarily for entities in Germany
- Central contact for the auditors and the tax department for entities under responsibility
- Support / Backup for audits Nordic countries: UK (Audited Distribution Entity) Ireland (Audited Holding)
- Controlling and accounting function for Holding entities in Germany (Backup for IRL NL Holdings)
- Close cooperation with the (Bratislava) Business Center/Shared Service Center
- Creation of / support for various statistic reports (i.e. German Central Bank Companies House UK)
- Preparation of Transfer Pricing Bridges for entities under responsibility
- Preparation of various evaluations for costs by type or cost centers
- Support of Adhoc report requests
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent education and experience
- 1 3 years accounting experience
- Previous experience in international firms (is a plus)
- Knowledge of US GAAP IFRS accounting (is a plus)
- Proven ability to prepare account analyses and reconcile accounts
- Professional handling of MSOffice; expertise in SAP ERP Financials (or equivalent) is a plus
- German native speaker or approximate native language proficiency (C2 Level)
- English: Good knowledge of financial vocabulary. Every other language is a plus (e.g. Turkish)
- Excellent communication skills and customer focused approach
- Familiarity with problem solving and process improvement techniques
- Ability to manage projects and see them through to implementation
- Ability to work well independently some on site supervision and work well in a (remote) home office setting
