Job Description

Req ID : 2679202

Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of all electrical systems on board including generators motors switchboards and control panels.

Troubleshoot and repair any electrical issues that may arise during the voyage.

Maintain accurate records of all electrical maintenance and repairs.

Collaborate with the Chief Electrical Engineer and other crew members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems.

Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of the vessel and crew.

Assist in the training and development of junior electrical engineers.

Keep uptodate with industry developments and best practices in electrical engineering.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a 2nd Electrical Engineer on board a vessel.

Knowledge of marine electrical systems and equipment.

Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and procedures.

Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with other crew members.

Willingness to work long hours and be on call for emergencies.

Valid seafarers medical certificate and STCW certifications.
