Chief Senior Accountant

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an exceptionally accomplished Chief Senior Accountant to join our finance
leadership team in Doha Qatar. This is a senior-level position requiring a proven track record of
high-level financial oversight strategic thinking and deep technical expertise — ideally with handson experience managing European accounts and a strong audit background.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and oversee all accounting operations including general ledger financial reporting
and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to senior management and key
stakeholders.
• Ensure full compliance with local Qatar regulations (IFRS/QAS) and relevant European
accounting standards where applicable.
• Manage mentor and develop the accounting team setting performance benchmarks and
fostering a culture of precision and accountability.
• Oversee internal and external audits; liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies with
confidence and authority.
• Develop implement and continuously improve internal controls financial policies and
procedures.
• Monitor cash flow budgets and forecasts; identify risks and opportunities proactively.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with finance operations and executive leadership.
• Handle complex multi-entity or multi-currency accounting environments particularly
involving European entities.
• Drive process automation and efficiency improvements across the finance function.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience with at least 3–5 years in
a senior or leadership capacity.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; CPA CA ACCA or CMA
certification is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with European accounts multi-jurisdiction financial management
or cross-border reporting.
• Strong audit background — internal and/or external audit exposure is a significant
advantage.
• Exceptional proficiency in IFRS and a solid understanding of European GAAP/reporting
frameworks.
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex financial data into
actionable intelligence.
• Proficiency in leading ERP/accounting systems (SAP Oracle Microsoft Dynamics or
similar).
• Outstanding attention to detail combined with the ability to see the big picture strategically.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to present financial findings to C-suite
executives.
• Must be currently based in Doha Qatar (local hire only).
