Job Summary
This role will give you hands-on experience in shipping receiving inventory support and sample processing.
This opportunity includes tasks like preparing shipments assembling kits handling materials and supporting warehouse operations in a professional research environment.
Position Overview
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will support daily warehouse and sample processing operations by handling shipments organizing materials preparing sample kits and assisting with inventory and storage tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble boxes and load/unload deliveries from trucks.
Support clerks with sample preparation in the login area.
Break down cardboard boxes and transport them to the compactor.
Prepare and assemble survey sample kits.
Store samples in refrigerated containers as required.
Clean aluminum containers using an automated can-washing system.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous clerical experience required.
Shipping and receiving experience preferred but not mandatory.
Valid Texas drivers license required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods while loading and unloading samples throughout the day.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. with assistance.
May be required to operate company vehicles on Southwest Research Institute property.
Steel-toed shoes are required.
