As an Operational Policy Officeryoullplay a pivotal role in ensuring that Adult Social Care & Health (ASCH) staff have access to clearup to dateand meaningful policydocumentsthat support theirday-to-dayroles. You will work closely with Senior Policy Officers operational teams and the wider Policy Unit to develop andmaintaindocuments that underpin safe legallycompliantand consistent practice. You will play an important role in undertaking research analysing implications and coordinating feedback from operational teams. This will ensure there is sufficient insight structure andaccurateinformation needed to lead policy development and makewellinformeddecisions.
The role also includes maintaining ASCHs policy library updating related intranet content and ensuring documents meet accessibility and corporatestandards. Much likeadult social care itself the role is broadfastpacedand helps the department meet its statutory duties and make a meaningful difference to practitioners and the people they support.
We are looking for someone with:
- Strongwriting and editing skills.
- Clearconfidentand concise written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyse information think critically and consider wider implications across the department
- Knowledge of plain English and accessibility standards.
