Laboratory Co-ordinator Animal Sports

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated proactive laboratory co-ordinator to join our Animal Sports team.

As part of our team you will deliver a high-quality lab support service to the Animal Sports team. This includes:

• Acting as the central hub for communication with all teams within Animal Sports
• Supporting routine maintenance and operation of analytical instrumentation (including mass spectrometers)
• Ownership of and performing the essential tasks needed within the lab (i.e. stock checks equipment issues consumable shortages reference collection management and extracted standard organisation and preparation)
• Provide support in our Sample Management team as required

This role is well suited to a candidate with laboratory experience with training and support provided.

Qualifications :

• Strong scientific background with practical understanding of biological or chemical laboratory work

• Working knowledge of ISO 17025 and the ability to follow accredited quality standards

• Excellent laboratory skills with a focus on accuracy organisation and safe working practices

• Understanding of COSHH assessments within a laboratory environment
