Senior Legal Counsel Antitrust and Trade Law

We are on the lookout for a Senior Legal Counsel to join the Antitrust and Trade Law team  on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences. 

The Antitrust and Trade Law team is responsible for Delivery Heros competition and trade law matters globally covering the 70 jurisdictions where we operate. We are involved from the start on exciting M&A transactions develop strategies in relation to competition investigations and foster compliance efforts with competition and sanctions laws throughout the entire group. We are a dynamic team regularly dealing with novel questions and coming up with innovative solutions to address both legal risks and business needs.

• Overseeing and advising on all aspects of competition law arising in the context of Delivery Heros global operations including merger control antitrust investigations and commercial agreements across 65 jurisdictions;

• Providing pragmatic advice in relation to the structuring and risks of potential M&A transactions including running multi-jurisdictional merger control and foreign direct investment filing assessments advising on due diligence processes transaction agreement clauses as well as post-merger integration processes and overseeing filing processes;

• Leading on antitrust investigations including developing strategies and updating senior management on these investigations;

• Guiding local legal teams on a wide range of competition law matters including on investigations and compliance questions across our jurisdictions and developing best practices;

• Advising on international trade law in particular on risk mitigation strategies related to EU and US sanctions laws;

• Developing and providing training sessions to a wide range of stakeholders in the group worldwide.

Qualifications :

• 6 years of post-qualification experience in reputable international law firms and/or in-house legal teams ideally advising tech companies or platform businesses on competition and trade law matters.
• Strong expertise in EU competition law including merger control vertical restraints antitrust investigations and platform regulation.
• Experience working with antitrust and competition law frameworks across multiple global jurisdictions.
• Familiarity with foreign direct investment regimes foreign subsidies regulations and US/EU export control and sanctions laws.
• Strong organizational interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide pragmatic legal advice to non-legal stakeholders.
• Full professional proficiency in English; additional languages such as German are considered a plus.
