EIT Traffic Engineer

GAI Consultants Inc is seeking an Entry Level (1-3 years experience) Traffic Engineer- in- Training to work within our Transportation & Infrastructure Business Unit. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a challenging fast-paced and team-oriented environment that will utilize their college education and related work experience to develop professionally into a well-rounded engineer with the ability to grow in todays global environment. Successful completion of the FE examination and current EIT certification is required.

Office locations include Cranberry Township Homestead Cannonsburg or Philadelphia PA. Hybrid or remote work is available with residency required in the Commonwealth of PA. A successful candidate outside of PA must be willing to relocate.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience with PennDOT and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
• Transportation design including traffic design analysis and roadway design.
• Preparation of reports maps drawings bid documents and project plans
• Proficient in Synchro and/or HCS software
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledgeable in MicroStation with the familiarity of roadway design software such as OpenRoads Designer is desired.

Minimum Years of Experience

• 1-3 years experience working in the field of Civil Engineering particularly traffic design and analysis.

Education

• B.S. or M.S. Engineering masters degree preferred.

Certification/Licensure

• EIT Certification
• Drivers License

Technical Responsibilities

• Performs advisory or consulting work for the organization across broad project areas or within a specialized area with innovative/complex aspects.
• Assesses practices and requirements to achieve sustainable performance of complex engineering projects from a systems perspective.
