Summary:
Vendor Managed Inventory Coordinator I is an individual contributor that delivers and set up inventory at customers designated sites. Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in storing distributing and order fulfilment of merchandise products materials parts supplies and equipment. Checks goods distribution against purchase orders or invoices Responsible for transporting company cargo to customers. Conducts inventory task in accordance with local VMI processes. Follows proper guidelines for use of all equipment. Ensures equipment is clean safe. Reports concerns to management team.
Hours can be flexible (ie: 7:00am-4:00pm or 8:00am-5:00PM) but needs to be consistent

What will the worker be doing Filling vending machines and delivering VMI items to POU areas. As well as scanning for other VMI items.

How far will they be traveling 6 miles to location from Altec Mt Airy once converted to FTE

Will this job require lifting If so what is the maximum weight Yes. Max weight- depends on how boxes are packed. Typically 30 lbs heaviest

Will the worker be required to go up/down stairs There is a 2nd floor VMI Janitorial area and Safety/Ear plug bin (there is elevator and stair access) This is not a high usage area and is minimal.
Responsibilities:

Works to ensure the accuracy of shipments to the customer.
-
Assist with the VMI customer space/placement sets up the appropriate area to receive shipment of material and stocks product in the customers designated area.

Follows the customer order through from pick-up at Vallens warehouse/DC to delivery and set up at customer site.
-
Takes customer spot buy orders when needed and relays the information to the CSR or AR.
-
Recommends changes to the customer inventory levels based on usage.

Ensures that bar code labels are up to date and legible for scanners to read and advised management when new barcode labels are needed.

Scans barcodes at customer site to generate customer orders.

Maintains awareness of min/max reorder point/quantity and reports observations back to managements.

Assist in the annual inventory (cycle) counts on consigned
-
Presents information and respond to questions from clients customers and managers.

5S all VMI Point of Use areas.

Performs other duties as requested.
Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of relevant warehouse inventory counting or delivery experience. High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required).
Relevant experience should include:

Willingness to learn and work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature.
-
Must be a self-starter with the willingness to work with supervision.
-
Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form.
-
Demonstrated ability to get the job done correctly and in a timely manner.
-
Possess a proactive and positive team approach to problem resolution.
-
Must have the ability to establish strong working relationships with customers co-workers and management.

Willing to gain knowledge of company products.

Ability to represent Vallen in a professional manner projecting a Winning Team approach to customer service.
