Job Title: Hospitalist / Nocturnist Physician

Duration: One 3-month base period plus seven 3-month option periods
Shift Schedule:
Hospitalist Shift: 8:00 AM 8:00 PM
Nocturnist Shift: 8:00 PM 8:00 AM
12-hour shifts
7 days on / 7 days off
Monday through Sunday
Overtime may be required based on patient volume and coverage needs
How many shifts needed per month: Approximately 14 shifts per month (84 hours per week during scheduled rotation)
License:
Active unrestricted Physician license in any U.S. State District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
DEA License with Schedules II V
Certifications:
Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
BLS
ACLS
CPR
PALS and NRP required for dual Internal Medicine/Pediatric providers
Experience needed:
Completion of 36 months Family Practice or Internal Medicine Residency Training OR
48 months Internal Medicine & Pediatric Residency Training
Minimum 6 months of Hospitalist/Nocturnist experience required
No lapse in services greater than 6 months prior to start
Special Skills needed:
Experience in inpatient and outpatient care
Emergency Room and Urgent Care coverage experience
EHR/EMR documentation proficiency
Knowledge of HIPAA and IT security compliance
Ability to work with underserved and rural Native American populations
Cultural awareness and sensitivity toward American Indian and Alaska Native communities
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Credentialing / Onboarding time: 6 weeks to 8 weeks
Responsibilities:
Provide inpatient and outpatient Hospitalist/Nocturnist physician services
Conduct patient evaluations diagnosis treatment and follow-up care
Provide coverage in Urgent Care Emergency Room Adult Care Unit (ACU) Special Care Unit (SCU) Pediatric Care Unit (PCU) and Nursery as required
Perform inpatient rounds and ensure continuity of patient care
Maintain accurate and timely EHR documentation
Participate in department meetings peer reviews and mandatory training
Follow Joint Commission standards and facility medical staff bylaws
Coordinate with healthcare teams and administrative staff to support patient care delivery
Adhere to all safety credentialing and compliance requirements
